Falk Schuetzenmeister earned his PhD in science studies from the Dresden University of Technology in 2008. In the last five years, he worked as a geospatial web application developer and GIS analyst in the field of natural resource management and conservation. At GIF, he works on the Berkeley Ecoinformatics Engine. In 2014, he joined the Berkeley Institute for Data Science, where he works on sensor networks.
