Sustainability Session (Title TBD) Course Descriptions

Session 1: The Economic Value of Sustainable Business
Historically, sustainable environmental practices and government regulation are seen to run counter to profitable business. They do not; companies simultaneously take care of the environment and take care of their bottom line. Participants will start this session by understanding what climate change is and the effects it has on business.

Session 2: Analytics for Sustainable Decision Making
This class will teach tools and techniques for data collection and analysis as well as sustainability metrics and statistics, giving attendees the opportunity to turn data into business innovation.

Session 3: Sustainable Supply Chain Management
This session will teach participants how to pinpoint environmentally and socially sound changes within their supply chain or industry to benefit their company’s bottom line and communicate corporate value. The course will discuss social responsibility in product supply chains, including labor and environmental conditions. It will also offer solutions for sustainable waste management, touching on federal and local waste management regulation, recycling, and waste remediation methods.
