Janet McKinley is founder and principal investor of Advance Global Capital Ltd., along with its flagship fund, Advance Trade Growth Fund. She has over 35 years of investment experience. A former director of Capital Research & Management Company, and principal executive officer of The Income Fund of America, she also managed global growth and income portfolios for Capital with a wide range of investment objectives.
An active philanthropist for over 30 years, Ms. McKinley is chair emerita of Berkeley Endowment Management Company and former chair of Oxfam America. She was a board trustee of Smith College, the Deutsche Bank Microfinance Fund, and MicroCreditEnterprises. Ms. McKinley received her B.A. from Smith College and attended the NYU Graduate School of Business. In 1976, she received a Fulbright Scholarship to study at Jagellonian University in Krakow, Poland, where she learned how to manage with food ration coupons. Ms. McKinley is a Berkeley Fellow.
